Curriculum - Hands on Learning

Every child deserves a great start in school and in life! Here at Bright Futures we offer children a curriculum designed to help children expand their sense of wonder into life skills. We use a play based curriculum to prepare children for kindergarten and throughout life. A child who starts school with a strong self-esteem and skill set develops a positive sense of education and a love for learning that is life long.

Current literature and common sense indicate that children learn best with a play based learning style. Our curriculum is based on keeping children interested and engaged in the learning process. While learning social skills, following directions, personal care and other life skills, children are actively engaged and playing. Who knew that while stacking blocks as a child you were learning about balance, gravity, shapes, and quite likely social skills as the child next to you desired to use the exact same block that you just picked up? Through providing a wide variety of stimulating activities, our staff keep the children learning and growing throughout every day!

Our curriculum emphasizes a letter each week with a theme developed around that letter to bring it to life! As we expand on the letter and theme, we use colors, shapes, numbers and so much more. In addition, we highlight a child's role in society through visits from senior centers, firemen and police. We learn about health through physical activities, farming fruit trees on site, as well as a wide variety healthy meals and snacks. We learn science through experimentation with the world around us.

At Bright Futures we work to unlock your child's potential through a creative, unique and diverse curriculum designed to prepare the children for their pre-kindergarten milestones. With the new transitional kindergarten programs and testing children for kindergarten placement, it is now more important than ever to have your child being cared for in an environment that prepares them for the school system.
